Goodnight, Little Hero helps parents create personalized bedtime stories. This policy explains the information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Parent account information, including email address and password hash.
- Child story details entered by a parent, such as first name or nickname, age, interests, favorite color, story mode, and bedtime routine tasks.
- Generated stories, Forever Bookshelf saves, delivery settings, and subscription status.
- Payment information is handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
How we use information
We use information to create stories, save your account, deliver nightly stories, send product and trial emails, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, improve the service, and understand whether ads and signup flows are working.
Service providers
We use service providers including AI language-model providers for story generation, Resend for email delivery, Stripe for payments, Meta and Google for advertising measurement, and hosting providers to run the app.
For ad measurement, we may send limited event data such as signup or purchase events, browser attribution cookies, IP address, user agent, and a hashed version of the parent email address to Meta or Google. We do not send your child's story details to advertising platforms.
Connected assistants
If you choose to connect Goodnight Little Hero to ChatGPT or another compatible assistant, we share the information needed for the actions you request: saved hero identifiers, names or nicknames, school level and story settings; story identifiers, titles, associated hero, date, mode, favorite and availability status; requested story text and guided reading moment labels and text; the brief story context you choose to send; and request identifiers, status, public error messages and daily allowance status. We do not send your password, website session cookie, payment details, email delivery settings or internal generation diagnostics through the plugin.
The assistant receives these results and may retain them according to its own settings and policies. Disconnecting Goodnight Little Hero prevents future access through that connection; it does not erase copies already retained in a separate chat or assistant.
You authorize a specific connection and its displayed permissions. Access credentials expire no later than 10 minutes after issuance. Rotating refresh credentials and the connection expire no later than 30 days after authorization unless you reconnect. We store credential hashes, the account-linked permission grant and expiry/revocation state. Expired authorization and token state is periodically removed. A stable opaque connection identifier is shared with the assistant so it can recognize the same account when you reconnect. We keep that identifier associated with your account until your account is deleted.
You can inspect and disconnect active grants on the Connected accounts page when connections are available. Disconnecting there or resetting your password revokes access. An account pending deletion cannot use the plugin, and complete account deletion removes account-owned plugin grant and credential state.
Goodnight Little Hero is for adult parents and caregivers. Children should not create or connect accounts. Use a first name or nickname and avoid sensitive personal details. Review a generated story before reading it aloud.

The service is for parents and guardians. Children should not create accounts. Please use a first name or nickname only and do not enter sensitive personal details.
Choices
You can preview stories before reading them, update or delete child story details in your account, cancel your subscription, and delete your account from your dashboard. Meta and Google analytics and advertising cookies stay off unless you accept them. You can change that choice at any time with the Cookie choices control.
